I have amended the door image. Using a more conceptual image of the light behind the door, makes the reader think about the icon more and in doing so this intrigues them to find out more. Also the light coming from behind the door emphasizes the concept of new opportunities behind open doors.
I decided to get things moving, so here is the flyer and VIP flyer. I have maintained the same layout as the poster/brochure, and for the VIP simply added 'VIP' and an additional body copy, as I feel the design of the flyer is valid for VIP and standard participants to the show.
